Meet PMSC at Parramatta Pride Picnic 2026

Parramatta Memorial Swimming Club (PMSC) will be at Parramatta Pride Picnic on Saturday 10 October 2026. Come and find our stall at the Bowling Green in Parramatta Park for games, prizes and a chat about swimming.

We want more local swimmers to know there’s a place for them at PMSC. Starting with the Pride Picnic, we’ll be heading to more community events to meet people, talk swimming and share what our club has to offer. Whether you already swim laps, enjoy a friendly race or would like more people to swim with, we’d love to meet you.

Parramatta Pride Picnic 2026: when and where

Date: Saturday 10 October 2026

Now in its 18th year, Parramatta Pride Picnic brings the LGBTIQA+ community, families, friends and the wider community together for a day outdoors. The event includes entertainment, food and market stalls, with activities for a range of ages. Everyone is welcome to come along.

Visit the official Parramatta Pride Picnic event page for the latest program, visitor information and updates before you head to the park.

Come and find the PMSC stall

We’ll be bringing a bit of fun to the PMSC stall, with games to get involved in and prizes to take home. Drop by, say hello and put your skills to the test while you get to know a few of the people behind the club.

A big thank you to Funky Trunks and Funkita for contributing some of the prizes for our games on the day. We appreciate their help in making our stall a little more fun for everyone who stops by.

It’s also a chance to ask the questions you might have about club swimming. What happens on a race morning? How does training work? Can you get involved if you’ve never raced before? Come and have a conversation with us about what you enjoy in the pool and what you’d like to do next.

Get more out of your swimming in Parramatta

PMSC is based at Parramatta Aquatic Centre, with club racing from October to March and training and social swimming throughout the year. For swimmers looking for a regular routine, a new challenge or some company in the water, the club offers several ways to get involved.

On club race mornings, swimmers can work towards their own goals across different strokes and distances. Swims are electronically timed, and improving your personal best earns points in our point score competition. There’s something satisfying about seeing your progress from one week to the next, with familiar faces there to cheer you on.

Our weekly training gives members time to work on endurance and technique, while social swims offer a more relaxed way to keep active together. You can explore our swimming training programs to get a feel for this side of club life.

Meeting more of our local community

A swimming club is about the people you share it with as much as the laps you swim. Attending the Pride Picnic is a chance for us to meet locals who may not have come across PMSC before and show them how club swimming could fit into their week.

This is the first of several community events we plan to attend. We’re looking forward to more conversations around Parramatta and helping more swimmers find a club they enjoy being part of. If you’re already a member, come past the stall and say hello too.

Interested in swimming with PMSC?

You don’t have to wait for the picnic to find out more. Our How to Join page explains the next steps, including Come & Try options for eligible new members. For current membership choices and fees, see our 2026/2027 membership guide.

Otherwise, bring your questions along on 10 October. We’d love to hear about your swimming and help you find your place at PMSC. See you at the Pride Picnic!
